Waggon & Horses

This traditional pub is an institution to the local horseracing fraternity. Busy with clientele from the nearby racecourse coming in throughout the day for its famous cooked breakfasts through to after work drinks, as well as visitors to watch the racing. Our challenge was to keep the friendly and welcoming atmosphere whilst updating the layout and interiors to attract new clientele and passing custom. We created lots of cosy seating areas, using greens, warm browns and brass, and installing screens to add privacy, as well as artwork featuring horseracing to celebrate the history of the building. We rejigged the outdoor space with new signage, furniture and planting to enhance the pubs street appeal. The exterior of the building had a total facelift keeping the same colours but giving it a new lease of life for the future.
