The Green Room

Set within a former high street Co-op in the pretty village of Sawston in Cambridgeshire. We worked with first time operator clients to transform this 1970s retail space into an all-day brasserie café. With the insertion of a new opening glass fronted shopfront, we designed an open kitchen with tile fronted bar, reclaimed feature lighting makes this once cold cavernous space feel welcoming during the day but cosy at night. With a mixture of bamboo lightshades, recycled from a restaurant in Westfield and reclaimed industrial lighting. Foliage hanging from the beams adds interest and softens the steel ceiling all set off by the original co-op flooring.
