Rose & Thistle

The Rose & Thistle was closed for two years following the nationwide lockdown, leaving the site badly dilapidated and in need of full refurbishment. Blackdog were instructed to bring this Grade Two listed pub back to life. Blackdog worked closely with the Greene King team and Listed building officers to ensure all work was in keeping with the heritage of the site. The bar servery was extended to provide more space for product display and the internal areas were zoned to create distinct dining and sports viewing areas. Successful collaboration with the Listed Building officer resulted in a large covered pergola, which forms a new heated seating area.
