Dog & Pheasant

The legacy of the local Frank Cants & Co, the oldest rose growers in the country who introduced more than 130 new rose varieties since 1875 is celebrated in this project. Our brief was to reinvigorate this old pub, maximising space to create one of the largest dining areas of all the Pub & Socials. The large wooden bar was retained but the colourful prints on fabric and wallpaper, new furniture and layout has given the pub a new lease of life. The extensive children’s area makes it even more popular with families, and a large covered pergola seating area with faux planting creates a serene backdrop.
