Chequers

This beautiful, listed pub close to Hitchin is a hub for the local community. With an updated palette of rich colours, feature wallpaper and a map of historic Stotfold covering the walls. We reconfigured the existing space to create a light and airy beamed dining room and within the oldest part of the pub a cosy bar and dedicated games corner complete with dart board for local village rivalry. Space for live entertainment and sports viewing, as well as a large pergola providing a covered seating area in the large sun-filled garden are other wins on this refurbishment.
