Set within the old White Hart pub in West Mersea our brief was to create the perfect setting to enjoy your morning cappuccino to nightcap and everything in-between. With a seafood based all-day menu and the proximity to the sea, we looked to incorporate a central feature jellyfish aquarium visible from all areas of the dining room and bar. For the garden we imagined huge bifolding doors spilling out from the dining room onto an oasis of calm, with touches of the Mersea coast, pergola covered seating areas and a feature bandstand for entertainment and dining alike. The design concept is intended for the local community and guests to the island alike, whether they be there for a cosmopolitan, a bacon sandwich or Oysters Rockefeller.
